Your 2021 Volunteer Board Nominees:
At the Annual Meeting two positions on the Ocean Financial Board of Directors will be filled. The nominating committee, appointed by the board, has submitted Thomas J. Killen, Esq. and Timothy Johnson as nominations for these vacancies.
Thomas Killeen, Esq.
Tom started with Ocean Financial as a volunteer on the Supervisory Committee in 2017 and was appointed to a Board position in 2020 when a seat was vacated due to the passing of Paul Wigand. Tom has practiced law since 1973, and is now a sole practitioner, Tom serves clients throughout the Greater New York Metropolitan area, with offices in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island. He attended both college and law school on full academic scholarships, receiving his B.A. with honors in 1969 from St. Francis College and his J.D. in 1972 from St. John’s University School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the Law Review. Tom is on the Board of many organizations, including Long Island Alzheimer's and Dementia Center, Community Development Corporation of Long Island, Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education, Long Island Community Chest, and previously as a member of the Board of Education of the Manhasset Union Free School District (1997-2003; Vice President, 2000-2003).
Timothy Johnson began as a volunteer on the Ocean Financial Supervisory Committee in 2019 and has been nominated to join the Board in 2021. Tim, a graduate of St. John’s University, is semi-retired from his position as a Senior Vice President of Sales in the litigation services industry and now acts as a consultant in the field. Tim was an active member in the Knights of Columbus Fr. Joseph O’Connell Council #3481 in Oceanside and has sat on the Board of Kenmah Realty and 3481 Associates, where he served as President and Chairman for three years. Tim and his wife, Ann, reside in Rockville Centre, where they raised their four children and are members of the St. Agnes parish.
